The Driver. The Owner. The Collector.

Jacques “Jack” Swaters, born in 1926, was an active part of the Ferrari story for more than 60 years — with accomplishments as a driver, team director, businessman and collector.

The native of Belgium was passionate and personally invested in all things Ferrari throughout his life and assembled one of the most beautiful and comprehensive Ferrari-related collections in the world.

Through it all, it was Swaters’ incredible patience, obsessive attention to detail, comprehensive skill and knowledge and admiration for The Man, Enzo Ferrari, that drove his to success.

Jacques Swaters died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Brussels, Belgium, on Dec. 10, 2010, at the age of 84.
